Fixed-Scope Development - EdTech & SaaS

Scope locked. Price fixed. Working prototype before you commit a dollar.

IT Project-Based Solutions

Hireplicity's project-based model gives you a fully scoped, fixed-price engagement — with one offer no other offshore firm makes: before you commit a dollar, we build you a working prototype. A functional proof-of-concept showing exactly how we'd approach your product, the architecture decisions we'd make, and the core feature flow.

Is This Right For You?

Is a project-based engagement right for you?

Project-Based Model

The right model when your scope is defined and your budget has a ceiling.

The project-based model gives you a fully scoped, fixed-price engagement. Scope is locked. Price is fixed. And there's one offer no other offshore firm makes before you commit a dollar.

Free prototype offer

Before you commit a dollar, we build you a working prototype — a functional proof-of-concept showing exactly how we'd approach your product, the architecture decisions we'd make, and the core feature flow.

You own the prototype regardless of what happens next. Most clients who see it proceed.

Project-based is the right fit when:

You have a specific module, feature set, or platform that needs to be built to a clear spec

Not a vague roadmap — a defined deliverable with agreed-upon scope. The more specific your requirements, the better this model works.

You need a fixed price for board or investor reporting purposes

A fixed number, not a range that shifts. The price in the proposal is the price you pay — no change orders for scope that was agreed in writing.

You want to see delivery quality before committing to a longer engagement

The free prototype removes the biggest risk of hiring a development firm you haven't worked with before. You see how we think before your budget is committed.

EdTech

Adding a compliance-critical feature with well-understood scope

FERPA data pipeline, WCAG 2.2 AA remediation, LTI 1.3 integration, or OneRoster sync — compliance-critical features where the requirements are well understood and the scope can be locked.

SaaS

Building a greenfield product with a defined MVP scope

From validated idea to production without managing multiple vendors. You have the concept and the spec — we take it from discovery to launch under a single fixed-price engagement.

Scope still evolving? Or need ongoing delivery beyond a single build? The project-based model isn't the right fit for that.

The Process

How Does It Work?

Steps 01–02 are the free prototype phase
01 Days 1–2

Scoping Conversation

Our Senior Leadership or a Senior Architect reviews your requirements, goals, and constraints. For EdTech projects, compliance requirements — FERPA, COPPA, WCAG — are surfaced in this session, not after the proposal. You leave with a clear sense of feasibility, timeline, and what a prototype would demonstrate.

FERPA · COPPA · WCAG No commitment required
02 Days 3–5

Free Working Prototype & Detailed Proposal

We build a functional proof-of-concept demonstrating our core architecture approach and feature flow. Alongside it, we deliver a full written proposal: scope, resource plan, fixed price, and sprint-by-sprint timeline. You review both before signing anything. The prototype is yours to keep regardless of what happens next.

Free prototype Fixed price Yours to keep
03 Kickoff

Agreement & Kickoff

Once the proposal and prototype are approved, we finalize the agreement and launch the project. Your engineering team is in your tools before the end of week one. IP transfer and data handling terms are confirmed in the agreement — everything Hireplicity builds is yours.

Full IP transfer In your tools by week 1
04 Ongoing

Fortnightly Sprint Demos

Every two weeks, you see working software — not a status report. A 30-minute demo of everything shipped in the sprint, open to your whole team. Issues are flagged in the demo, not discovered at delivery.

Working software every 2 weeks Open to your whole team
05 Continuous

Continuous QA — AI-Assisted

Our QA engineers run manual and AI-generated test suites in parallel with development — not at the end. 80–85% automated test coverage on every sprint's output. For EdTech clients: FERPA data handling and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility checks run on every release candidate.

AI-assisted 80–85% coverage WCAG 2.1 AA FERPA verified
06 Delivery

Final Delivery & Approval

The completed product is delivered to your environment and reviewed against the original scope document. All feedback cycles are completed before sign-off. Nothing is marked closed until you confirm it meets the agreed specification.

Reviewed against scope doc Your sign-off required
07 Closure

Project Closure & Full Handoff Documentation

Architecture decision record, codebase walkthrough, deployment runbook, and a 30-day post-launch support window — all included. Your team can own and maintain the product independently from day one.

Continue or Transition — Your Choice

After the 30-day support window, you can move to a Dedicated Pod for ongoing development, engage us for a follow-on project, or take the codebase fully in-house. All intellectual property transfers to you in full — no retained licenses, no proprietary dependencies.

“Hireplicity, Inc. delivered valuable services to the client, giving them significant headroom to complete each project. The adaptive team seamlessly integrated with the in-house group, using their project management approach. Their genuine enthusiasm about the project was found to be impressive.”

Why It Works

What the project-based model gives you that other models don't.

Four specific commitments — each one proof-backed and measurable. Not marketing copy. Not what every agency says.

Fixed price — no change orders

Predictable Budget — Down to the Dollar

The price in the proposal is the price you pay. No change orders for scope that was agreed in writing. No billing surprises at delivery. If Hireplicity misestimated the effort, that's our problem — not yours.

40–60% faster than traditional timelines

Sprint-by-Sprint Timeline — Not a Vague Estimate

AI-assisted development is included in every project-based engagement — not as a premium. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude embedded in every sprint means your fixed-scope project ships faster than a comparable traditional quote would estimate. Every milestone is in the proposal before you sign.

Scope agreed in writing — before you pay

Scope Locked in Writing Before a Line of Code is Written

Every deliverable is documented in the proposal before the agreement is signed. If a feature isn't in the scope document, it isn't in the price. If you want to add something, we scope it, price it, and give you a change decision — nothing gets built without your sign-off.

Free working prototype — before you commit

See the Quality Before You Commit — Free

Our free prototype offer exists for exactly one reason: to remove the risk of hiring a development firm you haven't worked with before. You see how we think, how we architect, and how we communicate — before your budget is committed. Most clients who receive the prototype proceed. For those who don't, we ask nothing.

AI-Powered Delivery

Every project-based engagement runs on AI-assisted development.

GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude are standard tools in every Hireplicity project — not experiments. The result: 40–60% faster delivery without compressing QA cycles, with 80–85% automated test coverage built in from the first sprint.

40–60%

Compliance-safe by default

Student PII is never passed to AI tools without explicit written approval. We use only enterprise-tier tools with contractual no-training commitments on client code — critical for FERPA and COPPA environments.

Every PR

AI-generated accessibility testing

WCAG 2.1 AA compliance checks run automatically on every UI component — throughout the sprint cycle, not just at final audit. Fewer remediation cycles, faster VPAT readiness.

80–85%

LMS features that used to take weeks now take days

AI-assisted scaffolding of LTI integrations, OneRoster sync modules, and assessment engines — with 80–85% automated test coverage out of the box. Your fixed scope ships faster than your timeline assumed.

For EdTech clients

All AI tools are formally approved before they touch your codebase. Student PII is never processed by AI tools without your explicit written approval. FERPA and COPPA compliance checkpoints run at every sprint gate — not just at final delivery.

Scope is locked. Let's build your prototype.
